If only one is down, it is that camera, its cable or its adapter.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Swap the power adapter.<\/strong> Adapters fail far more often than cameras. Borrow the adapter from a working camera. If the picture returns, you only need a new adapter.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Check the connectors.<\/strong> On analog systems the BNC connector works loose or rusts, mostly outdoors. If the picture flickers when you touch the cable, the connector needs replacing.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Picture fine in the day, black at night?<\/strong> The infrared LEDs or a weak adapter. The camera draws more power at night.<\/li>\n<li><strong>DVR not recording?<\/strong> Open Menu \u2192 Storage. &#8220;No disk&#8221; or &#8220;Error&#8221; means the hard disk has probably failed. CCTV disks run 24 hours a day and typically last 3 to 5 years.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Monitor works but the mobile app does not?<\/strong> That is normally a router, internet plan or password change, not a camera fault.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Repeated adapter or DVR failures?<\/strong> Usually bad power. A broken seal can cancel the claim.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Is_it_a_warranty_case\"><\/span>Is it a warranty case?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>CP Plus products carry a manufacturer warranty, and the period depends on the model. Keep your purchase bill; it is the first thing anyone will ask for. Physical damage, units burnt by a power surge and water inside a non-weatherproof camera are normally not covered.<\/p>\n<p>If CNC supplied your CP Plus or Hikvision system and it is inside warranty, bring the bill and we arrange a quick replacement. If you bought it elsewhere, the claim goes through your dealer or CP Plus directly. Check the official CP Plus website or helpline for the current list, because centre addresses change.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The dealer who installed your system<\/strong> \u2014 they know your wiring and settings, so they are usually the fastest for site problems.<\/li>\n<li><strong>An independent CCTV service team<\/strong> \u2014 for out-of-warranty repairs, hard disk replacement, cable faults, mobile-view setup, and systems where the original installer can no longer be reached.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To be clear about where we fit: CNC is a CP Plus and Hikvision partner and an independent service team. Switch the DVR off and do not re-initialise the disk.
