HP Care Pack — laptops, servers and printers

1-year or 3-year pack — which is better value?

A 3-year pack usually costs 1.8 to 2.2 times the 1-year pack, so the per-year cost is lower and you never have to re-check eligibility. If the laptop will be kept for 3 to 4 years — the normal cycle for a Delhi office — the 3-year pack wins. A 1-year pack makes sense only when the device will be replaced within 12–18 months, or the budget is fixed for the current financial year.

Is Accidental Damage Protection worth it?

A standard warranty covers manufacturing defects only. Most rejected claims in Delhi offices are drops, spills, cracked screens and surge damage after a power cut — all excluded. ADP brings these into cover. It is worth it for:

How to buy a care pack in Delhi

1. Send the model and serial number (Dell: Service Tag) — or an Excel list for a fleet.
2. Get the eligibility check and quote the same working day.
3. Approve, receive the GST invoice, and the pack is registered against the serial number.
4. The brand emails confirmation in 24–72 hours; the new cover shows on the warranty-check page.

Buy before the base warranty ends — ideally 30 to 60 days ahead. After expiry, most brands either refuse the pack or require a paid inspection first.
